SAP TechEd 2015: Making Digital Real with McCoy
SAP TechEd Barcelona
Earlier this month McCoy & Partners has sent a large delegation of consultants and architects to Barcelona to join the yearly SAP knowledge conference SAP TechEd. During this event SAP provides new insights in their strategy and product releases, and also provides extensive knowledge sessions and workshops to gather new expertise needed in the ever changing ecosystem of SAP.
McCoy brought back a wealth of information, knowledge and new opportunities. During the next few weeks we will host knowledge sharing sessions for our customers to provide them with the powerful new toolsets from SAP and to translate the huge amount of information to tangible business benefits and IT improvements.

SAP centered its event around digital transformation: “Making Digital Real” was the central message in the keynote provided by Steve Lucas and Bjorn Goerke delivered a very inspiring keynote about the new development within SAP. With of course a very strong emphasis on the SAP HANA Platform and all surrounding solutions like S/4HANA, Cloud for Analytics and SAP HANA Cloud Platform.
With the platform changing to HANA, the delivery mainly coming from the cloud and the transformation of architectures to be able to handle huge amounts of data, the need for simplification and solid architecture management is clearly visible for most customers. McCoy has focused on these two very important aspects of SAP consulting for the past three years and provides numerous best practices, solutions and methodologies for this.
Focus on User Experience
An important additional comment placed by SAP was the following: “User experience has become #1 in importance for IT leaders, according to Gartner – up from #16.” SAP continues to leverage its Fiori look & feel and it’s SAPUI5 user interface framework.
McCoy also has a very strong focus on these aspects and has a dedicated User Experience practice.
