A milestone in the road towards S/4HANA for IDL

Over the Easter weekend Irish Distillers migrated and upgraded their SAP ECC 6 system to SAP Business Suite on HANA in Microsoft Azure. This is a major milestone in the road towards S/4HANA. Leveraging the potential of SAP S/4HANA software is a strong element in Irish Distillers’ IT strategy.

Experienced consultants from Irish Distillers and McCoy & Partners carried out the migration. The cutover process, a highly collaborative effort, was all done remotely and coordinated using Microsoft Teams. An enthusiastic well-prepared team and a tightly controlled cutover runbook were the main ingredients to a successful go-live.
