McCoy completes successful Lumileds carve out

In 2017, Lumileds, the former Business Unit Automotive lighting and LED technology of Signify, was divested to Apollo, a venture capital company. As their SAP systems were still embedded in the Signify landscape, Lumileds initiated the STAR program starting January 2018. 

Carving out the SAP systems allows a Transformation in a fully independent company, so that Lumileds can Accelerate their growth and that business can Realize their ambitions. Last week, January 21, Lumileds and McCoy celebrated the successful SAP system carve out of Lumileds, thereby fulfilling the promise of the STAR acronym.

“The challenge was to disentangle Lumileds IT from Philips. The project was conducted by 250+ individuals, dispersed globally, from multiple organizations. McCoy provided consultants in critical roles who collaborated effectively, provided excellent project management and highly leveraged skills and expertise” says Bob Quicke, program manager Lumileds carve out. “They have shown the added value of our multi-year partnership leading to success”. 

“As part of the STAR program, I was responsible for several tracks which we delivered in time and with no disruption of the daily business” stated Laurens Verwoest, McCoy project manager in the STAR program. “I was really happy to see that we realized a complete new and solid infrastructure in a close collaboration with multiple parties.
