What is SAP Analytics Cloud?

SAP Analytics Cloud (formerly known as SAP Business Objects Cloud) is a Saas solution which combines all analytics capabilities in one single tool – including Business Intelligence, planning, and predictive analytics.

With SAP Analytics Cloud, you can connect, prepare and blend data from both on-premise and cloud hosted data sources. Obviously, the integration with SAP data sources, like HANA, BW, BPC and SuccessFactors is better but you can also easily connect to non SAP data sources like Salesforce.com or static files like Excel.

Visualizations

With SAP Analytics Cloud you can build interactive dashboards and stories using compelling visualizations with insights discovered in your data to answer business questions on the fly.

Predictive Analytics

One of the predictive features within SAP Analytics Cloud is guided machine learning discovery. This gives you the option to reveal key figures, outliers, and groupings in your data to better understand your business drivers. Also included is a forecast algorithm to forecast future scenarios by investigating business scenarios in an intuitive user interface

Planning

Within SAP Analytics Cloud you also have the ability for financial planning. See it as a BPC light solution to create planning scenarios. It supports multi-dimensional designs, cell locking and auto spreading features. Companies looking for more complex planning scenarios can use Analytics Cloud as front-end on top of BPC, enabling users to work in SAP Analytics Cloud while the data is written back into BPC for complex processing.

To summarize, with SAP Analytics Cloud you can analyze, collaborate and plan all in a single cloud platform with an intuitive and single user interface. Users no longer need to learn how to work with two or three different applications when analyzing or planning data.

Digital Boardroom

The SAP Digital Boardroom runs op top of SAP Analytics Cloud. It transforms the boardroom experience from static PowerPoint presentations into a unique and engaging user experience that invites C-level managers to interact with real-time data to get better insights and outcomes. Leaders can simulate the impact of decisions to financials and operations and make decisions based on facts rather than gut feeling.

The digital boardroom consists of three large touchscreen displays to maximize the impact and experience.
