Over a year ago, Philips made a strategic move to carve out its domestic appliance business, creating a new company called Versuni. Versuni offers a range of household appliances, including kitchen appliances, coffee makers, climate control devices, clothing care, and floor maintenance products. With operations spanning over 100 countries, Versuni has established innovation hubs, manufacturing plants, and commercial centers to drive global innovation and quality.
As part of the business carve-out, Versuni needed to implement a new ERP system. The company selected SAP S/4HANA to modernize its processes and drive operational efficiency.
One of the primary challenges was the development of operational reporting capabilities, which were essential to providing timely and accurate visibility to all functions within the organization. The company’s adoption of nearly 60 SAP products as part of their Exuviate journey underscored the need for a robust, scalable solution for reporting and analytics.
To meet these requirements, Versuni partnered with McCoy, leveraging their expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Embedded Analytics. McCoy’s experience with S/4HANA implementations, particularly in identifying and deploying the right SAP Fiori Apps, made them a natural choice for this project.
The focus of the project was to explore the potential of Embedded Analytics in SAP S/4HANA using a ‘Fit-to-Standard’ approach. This helped Versuni reduce the need for developing expensive custom reports, especially within the Order-to-Cash (O2C) domain. McCoy’s deep understanding of user needs allowed them to identify the right SAP Fiori apps and develop flexible solutions where needed. Their agile approach was faster and more cost-effective as opposed to building reports from scratch. By documenting requirements, developing apps, and guiding user testing and training, McCoy ensured a smooth transition and effective use of the new tools.
