At McCoy & Partners, we don’t just bring the soft back into software—we actively contribute to a more sustainable future for people, society, and the environment. And we do so not only with words, but with concrete actions. Our approach is built on two solid pillars: operating in line with ISO 14001 guidelines and structurally reducing our CO₂ emissions through the CO₂ Performance Ladder.
1 – Sustainable business practices in line with ISO 14001
Sustainability is embedded in our operations—not as an obligation, but as a conscious choice to work with respect for the world around us. We take responsibility across the entire value chain—from procurement to reuse—and continuously strive for improvement. Step by step, we are building an organization that is ready for the future.
We take a structured approach, supported by a certified ISO 14001 environmental management system and measurable objectives. We comply with all relevant laws and regulations while proactively seeking opportunities to improve. This allows us to remain open to innovations that make our processes and services even more environmentally friendly—particularly in the following areas:
Upstream: We consciously choose sustainable procurement. This includes office furniture that is locally produced, has a long lifespan, and is recyclable. Social impact is also a key consideration.
Own operations: Our offices are becoming increasingly energy-efficient, and we are working to structurally reduce our CO₂ emissions.
Mobility: We are gradually making our business travel more sustainable, with a focus on smarter alternatives.
Downstream: Discarded hardware is given a second life through reuse or recycling by certified partners. We encourage colleagues to actively contribute ideas and take action.
Continuous improvement
Sustainability is not a destination, but an ongoing process. Each year, our management team sets measurable environmental targets. Based on achieved results, these targets are adjusted and refined. This ensures continuous progress toward a future-ready organization.

2 – Consciously reducing emissions with the CO₂ Performance Ladder
At McCoy, we believe that real growth is only possible when it is sustainable. That is why we actively focus on reducing our CO₂ emissions—a crucial step in combating climate change.
CO₂ is the most well-known greenhouse gas. It is mainly produced by burning fossil fuels and significantly contributes to global warming. This warming has major consequences, from rising sea levels to more extreme weather and prolonged droughts. If we want to keep our planet livable for future generations, action is needed now.
What is the CO₂ Performance Ladder?
The CO₂ Performance Ladder is a practical tool that helps us gain insight into our own emissions as well as those within our value chain. It encourages organizations like McCoy to use energy more consciously, utilize materials more efficiently, and adopt more sustainable alternatives.
Our goal: continuous improvement
At McCoy, we see CO₂ reduction as an integral part of our growth. That’s why we measure, adjust, and continuously look for ways to reduce our impact—together with colleagues, partners, and industry experts. Transparency is key: we actively share our progress, insights, and plans.

3 – Sustainability remains our priority: voluntary publication of our CSRD report
At McCoy & Partners, we stand for responsible business practices and transparency. Although the new EU omnibus legislation no longer requires us—due to the size of our company—to report under the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), we have deliberately chosen to finalize our sustainability report and make it available upon request. With this report, we aim to emphasize our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. It provides insight into our efforts in environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance.
