1. AI‑Assisted formula generation in Excel Add‑in

Say goodbye to manual formula writing—SAP now enables natural‑language planning. Just describe what you want (for example, “calculate year‑over‑year growth for key figure X”), and the system generates the proper IBP formula for you. This greatly simplifies life for planners who aren’t formula experts.

2. Alert grouping enhancements

Alerts are now better organized into hierarchical groups based on attributes and time periods, allowing planners to drill into exceptions quickly. You can also snooze alert groups at any level, helping focus on the most urgent issues.

3. Budget‑Driven inventory planning

A new best‑practice scenario now integrates financial budgets into inventory planning. You can allocate budgets by location or product, disaggregate to per‑unit costs, and simulate service level impacts. This supports smarter, more financially aligned inventory decisions.

4. Support for Time‑Varying service levels

Inventory optimization now supports dynamic service target changes. You can set different service levels across planning periods to better reflect seasonality, promotions, or cost priorities.

5. Statistical Forecasting – FCSTALGORITHM Attribute

Transparency is improved with the new FCSTALGORITHM attribute, which logs the forecasting algorithm (e.g., ARIMA, machine learning blend, or manual override) used for each forecast. This makes it easier to audit and explain forecast results.

6. Excel Add‑in – Change History Summaries

The Excel add‑in now includes a visual "waterfall chart" change history. You can right‑click any key figure cell to see who changed it, when, and why — all within your planning view, improving traceability.

7. New Fiori App: Manage curves for product lifecycle

A centralized interface now lets you create, edit, and delete lifecycle curves (phase‑in, phase‑out, seasonal). This makes it easier to model demand patterns for new or retiring products.

8. Skip status for recurring jobs

You can now label an instance of a scheduled job as “Skipped,” and restore it anytime before execution. Once the scheduled time passes, it is permanently skipped, giving more flexibility to manage automated job runs.
