SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is SAP’s cloud-based Business Intelligence platform that provides a range of analytics and reporting tools. It is a fast-evolving product, which gets updated frequently.
In this blog, Kris van Brouwershaven takes you through the main takeaways from the latest release for SAP Analytics Cloud: QRC Q4 2025-release, which happened on November 14-16, 2025.

This theme is the latest generation of SAP themes called “Horizon” available in most cloud products.
You can enable it here:
1. Go to your Profile
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Appearance
4. Choose the desired Horizon-theme
This is the newest addition to the modules of SAP Analytics Cloud.
My Metrics lets the user create and organize a personalized (or shared) list of Key Metrics. It includes:
Your Metrics
A list of your personalized Metrics. You can view, sort, refresh and manage them here.
Detailed Visualization
Instantly see additional charts or other visualizations for the Metrics.
Smart Insights
This can – in theory – enrich the metrics with by highlighting underlying patterns or key findings.

There is a new option within the Excel-export dialog to add a shortcut link to the exported file, based on the current filter and navigation-state.
The benefit will be that you can easily navigate to the Data Analyzer-file, from Excel.
Exporting now supports the date-format better.
The new ability to add a hyperlink in a story on a table to jump straight into an insight.
With this release, the following is available:
A new export-mode where you can create large reports and tables (>1.000.000M cells) in Excel.
The maximum size of Excel is 1.048.576 rows x 16383 columns.
With this functionality, you can reach the limits of what’s possible in Excel!
This release enables te reuse of Script Objects in different stories.
You can simply share and reuse your custom Script Objects, with the following benefits:
Increased reusability.
Improved maintainability.
Save time (and effort).
Code-free configuration of Pop-ups
There is no more need to create scripts on your popup or a button! Follow the following steps to work with this:
Step 1: Build your popup.
Step 2: Enable the new ‘Select outside to close’ switch in the Builder-panel.
Step 3: Add a button on the page where you want to open your popup.
Step 4: Add a hyperlink on that button.
Script API’s to add, remove or modify chart variances.
CSS Class Picker (Dropdown) when applying CSS on objects.
Enable Global Bookmark Creation for users without edit permissions.
Named Color Pallets for easier findability.
Scheduling a Story based on a Datasphere Live Connection.
Additional Home Screen settings; card resizing, further customization.
