SAP Analytics Cloud QRC1 2026 – SAP Horizon Theme & My Metrics More Connections & Admin Cards

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is SAP’s cloud-based Business Intelligence platform that provides a range of analytics and reporting tools. It is a fast-evolving product, which gets updated frequently.
In this blog, Kris van Brouwershaven & Nurdan Saki take you through the main takeaways from the latest release for SAP Analytics Cloud: QRC Q1 2026-release, which happened on February 14th & 15th, 2026.

Note: This blog will keep Enterprise Planning out of scope.

Home Screen upgrades: New Admin Cards

With the latest SAP Analytics Cloud update, the Home Screen gets a practical upgrade for administrators. The new Admin Cards bring the most relevant system information and actions directly to where admins start their day to your .Home Screen

Admins With these cards are no longer need to dig through multiple menus to find out what's important. The new Admin cards support faster decision-making, clearer communication, and more proactive system management.

So, what's new?

  • Admin Custom Card
Communicate directly with SAC users via the Home Screen.
Use it f.e.or for welcome messages, platform updates, documentation links, or governance guidelines.—no external tooling needed.

  • Administrative Actions Card
A summarized view of critical recommendations.
This helps reduce time spent on root cause analysis and supports proactive housekeeping of the SAC environment.

  • System Monitor Card
A more centralized snapshot of tenant health, covering system metrics, user and license usage, performance hotspots, and governance-related insights.

My Metrics upgrades: alerting

SAP Analytics Cloud now makes it easier to continuously monitor key metrics by introducing subscriptions for metrics reports.

Users can now:

  • Subscribe or unsubscribe to metric reports for continuous change tracking

  • Set report frequency (daily, weekly or monthly)

  • Share reports with other users or teams within the same SAC tenant

  • Receive reports via e-mail or directly in the SAC notification center

This all reduces the need for manual checks and recurring meetings. Key stakeholders stay informed automatically, while teams gain a more structured way to monitor performance changes over time.

Data Analyzer upgrades

The next SAC update delivers a set of small but impactful changes.

  • Information Panel Update
More model-level details are now directly available within the story.

  • Chart styling improvements
Simple styling options can be applied without custom scripting.·

  • Extended RESTRICT capabilities
More flexibility in calculated measures, enabling the users to calculate what they need.  and accounts for cleaner model logic.

  • Mixed units and currencies
Display different units or currencies in a single view., without forced data alignment.

Live Connection to Snowflake

SAC offers more flexibility in how data from Snowflake is consumed. Customers can choose to replicate data in SACPfor improved performance, or use the data live from Snowflake at runtime without duplication.

With the possibility to run multiple models in one SAC Story, this enables you to build dashboards on models that originate from multiple sources, including Snowflake!

Note: The Snowflake Connector requires the Data Access Agent to be enabled on the tenant.

Note 2: In the Q2-Release on the 16th and 17th of May , SAC will also support Microsoft SharePoint Files, Microsoft Lists, and Microsoft Azure SQL Databases!

This allows teams to better balance performance, data freshness, and cost, while keeping the reporting experience unchanged for end users.
(Enable customers to choose whether they prefer to replicate data from Snowflake or consume data directly from the original source

Quick Builder Panel in view time

This new update introduces the Quick Builder for table widgets, a new way to explore data directly within stories. It replaces fully replaces the current Navigation Panel and focuses on faster, more intuitive interaction for end users.

The Quick Builder offers:

  • Light-weight data exploration without leaving the story context

  • A completely new user interface, designed for clarity and ease of use, being more intuitive than the Navigation Panel.

  • A more intuitive successor to the existing Navigation Panel

  • Flexible control to open or close the panel via the context menu or Script APIs

  • Better performance than the Navigation Panel did.

New Charts!

Introduction of the following charts:

  • Pareto Chart: The Pareto Chart
Helps users focus on what really matters by highlighting the factors that have the biggest impact, ranked in descending order of significance, combined with a line showing cumulative totals.

  • Area Chart:
We’ve had the Stacked Area Chart for a while, but not the Area Chart.
