The challenge in co-innovation in the manufacturing industry

How do you stay relevant in the manufacturing industry?

Innovation is the key to success. Constantly reinventing yourself as a company is a serious challenge. Not only do new business models and servitization develop at breakneck speed, so do the products. Keeping up (or rather, being ahead) is only possible if you apply the latest technology.

Making the world and your company a little better all the time

We see more and more companies joining forces to develop even better products and services. They are not only doing this for commercial reasons. These companies realize that they must be able and dare to look beyond their own silo. And that purpose-driven innovation and joining forces makes the world just that little bit better. It ensures continuity, also for customers and employees.

The solution for co-innovation

SAP's Intelligent Enterprise portfolio provides the toolbox we need for co-innovation. In addition, we have developed smart accelerators at McCoy:

Collaboration across companies

We have seen brilliant examples of co-innovation in recent years. Our customer ASML devotes an entire section of its website to innovation. In doing so, they focus heavily on collaboration with customers, suppliers, science and education.

Together with F3 Designs, we developed a solution to control AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle) directly from our Intelligent Logistics proposition (SAP EWM).

Innovating during Covid

We saw companies respond rapidly to contingencies during Covid time:

  • Swinkels partnered with a logistics company to pick up leftover stocks of beer and convert it into hand alcohol for healthcare facilities at its production facilities. Read more.

  • DSM and VDL teamed up to produce face masks when the company requested them. Read more.

These are two shining examples of McCoy customers showing their innovative character at a time when it is most needed. A time when they are taking up their social responsibility, while they themselves have had more favorable economic prospects. That makes us proud to work with them.

Would you like to co-innovate with us? We cordially invite you to one of our offices to talk about innovative applications of SAP technology. We can also take you to the SAP Experience Center in Den Bosch. Are you up for the challenge? Feel free to send a message to jan.laros@mccoy-partners.com and start with co-innovation!
